After ten years and roughly half a million dollars, Glenn Beck finally got the electricity stable out on his ranch. In this clip, Stu Burguiere, host of "Stu Does America," inquired about Glenn's "green dream," which sounds more like a nightmare.
According to Glenn, the pricey investment in his solar-powered ranch requires a significant compromise in quality of living. Glenn's ranch house does not have air conditioning, has a small refrigerator, and has different ovens because of the power draw, and they "suck!"
Are electric cars and solar-powered homes ready for the public to accept as the standard?
"Solar energy is not ready for prime time," Glenn explained. Watch the video to hear more on this topic.

We all know what the raid on former President Donald Trump was REALLY all about — the 2024 election. Whether you love Trump or hate him, this unprecedented act is a LOT bigger than just one man. And the same people behind Obamagate, who weaponized the DOJ and FBI by using obscure laws, seem to have their fingerprints all over the latest fishing expedition to take down Trump.
On Glenn TV Wednesday, Glenn Beck heads to the chalkboard to map out what he thinks the FBI was REALLY looking for at Mar-a-Lago. The U.S. government is growing in size and strength under Biden, and now he is turning the full power of this out-of-control government on us all.
Glenn exposes the federal agencies that have been quietly militarizing right under our noses: The IRS, DHS, FBI, VA, and USDA have all been buying up guns and ammo with little to no explanation as to why. Is it time to abolish many of these corrupt institutions?

Don’t you just love it when a federal agency makes a little announcement that has enormous consequences for America, yet no one knows about it because it just gets lost in the tidal wave of daily news?
This story is a couple weeks old, but it’s kind of a big deal. It’s about the U.S. Census Bureau admitting that — oops — it OVERCOUNTED the populations of eight states and UNDERCOUNTED the populations of six states in the 2020 census.
You might think, well, it’s a giant country and taking a census is a very complicated task — maybe we can expect some errors. Yet in the 2010 census, the Bureau reported an error rate of just 0.01 percent. That’s an overcount of just 36,000 people, which ends up being statistically insignificant.
The curious thing about the 2020 census “mistakes” is that out of the eight states that were overcounted, seven of them are blue states. And out of the six undercounted states, five of them are red.
The Bureau overcounted in Delaware, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Utah.
They undercounted in Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas, and Illinois.
The biggest mistakes percentage-wise were Hawaii, which was overcounted by 6.79 percent and Arkansas, which was undercounted by just over five percent.
What are the consequences of these “mistakes”? Minnesota and Rhode Island each get to keep a U.S. Representative seat that they should not have. While Florida should have received two additional seats, and Texas one additional seat.
And of course, since a lot of federal funding is tied to population, this also means hundreds of millions of dollars will be sent to overcounted states at the expense of the undercounted ones.
But this is good, right, that the Census Bureau admitted its mistakes? So now we can make the necessary corrections — especially since it affects something as vital as representation in Congress. Guess again. There is NO remedy for these Census Bureau errors. The numbers they turn in are tied to the specific date of the official census. Those numbers are final. Federal law does not provide a way to fix these major errors.
Sorry, Florida and Texas — there’s always 2030.

Donald Trump hinted at his next "major" response to the FBI’s recent raid of his Mar-a-Lago home, and award-winning journalist and author John Solomon has a pretty good idea of what the former president is planning to do next.
“A major motion pertaining to the Fourth Amendment will soon be filed concerning the illegal Break-In of my home, Mar-a-Lago, right before the ever-important Mid-Term Elections. My rights, together with the rights of all Americans, have been violated at a level rarely seen before in our Country. Remember, they even spied on my campaign. The greatest Witch Hunt in USA history has been going on for six years, with no consequences to the scammers. It should not be allowed to continue!" Trump posted on Truth Social.
So what is this major move "pertaining to the Fourth Amendment"? Solomon joined Glenn Beck on the radio program to give his best guess and to offer more details concerning the raid and alleged corruption within the FBI.
"There is this long, six-year battle between the FBI and Donald Trump, and of course, it starts with Russia collusion, which we now know is completely contrived, a political investigation that had no predicate, no merit whatsoever," Solomon began. "Then as the presidency is coming to an end, as Donald Trump's leaving office on January 19, 2021, he declassifies the documents the FBI never wanted out in public. They didn't want these documents out. These are the way they handled their informants, what they knew before they signed the FISA warrant, and what they were telling the court versus what they knew internally.
"That just inflamed the FBI all more all the more," he continued. "Then in the last hour of the Trump presidency, I'm told at 11 o'clock on January 20, 2021, the FBI and the Justice Department grab those documents. They made up an excuse ... they grabbed them and for 19 months they've kept them from the American public despite a lawful order of a sitting president."
Asked by Glenn if Trump could have had the documents the FBI didn't want the public to see at Mar-a-Lago, Solomon said, "I've asked the president, 'Do you have the documents?' He's told me 'no.' That's why he gave me permission, as a journalist, to go to the non-public section of the National Archives and try to find these documents."
Solomon explained to Glenn that he now knows where the documents are and is taking "multiple actions" to negotiate with the Justice Department and the National Archives to get the documents "in the near future."
"I hope to have some really good news later this week," he added.
Solomon went on to recap FBI corruption that’s existed for decades. "This is an agency that has … a very big history of abuses. Time and time and time again," he stated.
Glenn then pivoted to Federal Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart's rejection on Monday of the Justice Department's request to keep the entire affidavit for the Mar-a-Lago search warrant sealed and asked Solomon what he believes Trump will likely do next.
"My reporting indicates that the [former] president is considering filing a motion to remove magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart," Solomon answered. "And, I think the president is going to ask that a special master be appointed, a court-appointed independent person, to take the documents from the FBI and go through them and say, 'These are privileged. These aren't. These are overly expansive, they shouldn't have been collected, like passports.' And not leave the FBI on an honor system given all we know. So, I think that's what we're going to see the president do."

We still don’t know who was behind the car bombing that killed the daughter of Aleksandr Dugin, a prominent Russian ultranationalist and alleged ally of President Vladimir Putin, on a highway outside of Moscow on Saturday. But whether it was a foreign strike or an inside job, it could have a devastating effect on the world.
On the radio program Monday, Glenn Beck warned this could be an "Archduke Ferdinand" moment and talked about why he believes "we need to be very careful, very prayerful, and prepared."
"I believe this war with Russia, this proxy war, is going to end up being Biden's biggest failure and largest criminal scandal in American history," Glenn began, going on to suggest it could also lead to "the end of the western way of life if everything goes wrong, God forbid."
It appears that Dugin, who is often called "Putin's brain," was the intended target of the attack, but a last-minute decision to switch cars put Dugin's daughter, Daria Dugina, in the doomed vehicle at the time of the explosion. Now, Russia is blaming both America and Ukraine, while Dugin is calling for revenge and for Russia to ramp up attacks on Ukraine.
"[Ukraine President] Zelenskyy has warned of a nastier phase of war as Russia says the bombing was a contract killing from Ukraine," Glenn explained. "If Putin escalates this war ... I believe [the United States] will respond. I urge you to pray for the president and those in power around him," he added.
"A war at this time ... is the ultimate way to change the world," Glenn said. "Imagine if we had a devastating war. That's how worlds change. That's how everything changes."
He continued, "I hope this isn't it, and I don't think it is, but we don't know. I have been saying for a very long time that the next war will be fought in such a way that it will sneak up on you and we'll have an 'Archduke Ferdinand moment.' Nobody knew who Archduke Ferdinand was and we went into World War I over it. Nobody in the world really knows who Aleksandr Dugin is. I hope he's not the guy and this isn't the reason, but you need to know who he is because ... he is wildly dangerous."
"I tend to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Pray for your country, and pray for guidance and peace," Glenn said.

FAQs
What is the main problem with solar energy? ›
Intermittency. One of the biggest problems that solar energy technology poses is that energy is only generated while the sun is shining. That means nighttime and overcast days can interrupt the supply.
What is the most challenging issue related to solar energy? ›The biggest challenge facing the solar industry is politicization, which is to be expected in an election year. However, solar is an unusually partisan issue. Ironically, solar energy is now more cost-effective than nuclear, which was heavily government-subsidized for generations.
Why is solar energy not the best? ›Key arguments against solar panels are that they require more energy and fossil fuel-burning equipment to mine, manufacture, and transport than they save. Another argument is that toxic chemicals are used in the manufacturing process which do more harm than good.
What are 10 disadvantages of solar energy? ›- High upfront cost. ...
- The size of system is dependent on your available space. ...
- Requires sunny weather to work best. ...
- Manufacturing of solar panels can harm the environment. ...
- Low energy conversion rate. ...
- Cannot be used at night. ...
- Solar panels are fixed at their installed location.
High initial costs for material and installation and long ROI (however, with the reduction in the cost of solar over the last 10 years, solar is becoming more cost feasible every day) Needs lots of space as efficiency is not 100% yet. No solar power at night so there is a need for a large battery bank.
Is solar energy bad for the environment? ›Solar energy technologies and power plants do not produce air pollution or greenhouse gases when operating. Using solar energy can have a positive, indirect effect on the environment when solar energy replaces or reduces the use of other energy sources that have larger effects on the environment.
Why solar panels are bad for the environment? ›As solar panels sit in dumps, the toxic metals they contain can leach out into the environment and possibly pose a public health hazard if they get into the groundwater supply.”
What are the negatives of solar panels? ›- Solar doesn't work at night. ...
- Solar panels aren't attractive. ...
- You can't install a home solar system yourself. ...
- My roof isn't right for solar. ...
- Solar hurts the environment. ...
- Not all solar panels are high quality.
Solar PV has challenges regarding the uncertainty of how much of sun's rays it would receive, as weather can change from time to time. This would prove difficulty in determining how much energy to store for future use. Sunlight is clearly unavailable during night hours while there is still demand for electricity.
Is it a good idea to go solar? ›Not only is solar power good for the environment, but you can earn money selling back excess power to the grid. While costs have come down over the past years, installation and maintenance of solar panels can be quite expensive. Solar panels are best suited for homes that receive ample sun exposure throughout the year.
Are solar panels toxic waste? ›
Solar panel waste can include heavy metals such as silver, lead, arsenic and cadmium that – at certain levels – may be classified as hazardous waste.
What is solar energy and its advantages and disadvantages? ›Advantages of Solar Energy | Disadvantages of Solar Energy |
---|---|
Reduces Electricity Bills | High Initial Costs |
Provides Tax Incentives | Time Consuming |
Pairs with Solar Battery Storage | Weather Dependent |
Environmentally Friendly | Stringent Criteria |
Electricity from solar panels and transmission to the power grid emits extremely weak electromagnetic fields. Exposure to low-level electromagnetic fields has been studied extensively, and there is no evidence that it is harmful to human health, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
Is solar energy expensive? ›That said, there's wide agreement that solar electricity is pricey. The U.S. DOE's Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates that it's the most expensive form of electricity among current technologies for new electricity generation, about $396 per megawatthour for PV.
What is negative about solar farms? ›Habitat degradation
Specifically, solar power plants can cause significant habitat degradation. To produce solar power on an industrial scale, you need a vast amount of land. Building solar farms usually means displacing large numbers of mammals, birds, insects, and other wildlife.
Pros of Solar Power | Cons of Solar Power |
---|---|
Reduce or eliminate electric bills | Solar panels are expensive |
Reduce your carbon footprint | Long payback period |
Improve your home value | Not viable for all roofs or homes |
Energy independent from the grid | Fewer savings when electricity costs are low |
The dark side includes the need to trash millions of used, outdated solar panels in landfills. It includes the problem of intermittency, which occurs because solar often produces the most energy when demand is low.
Does solar energy hurt the environment? ›Solar energy technologies and power plants do not produce air pollution or greenhouse gases when operating. Using solar energy can have a positive, indirect effect on the environment when solar energy replaces or reduces the use of other energy sources that have larger effects on the environment.
